Should we build 200-340 more houses in FR? Print
Wednesday, 11 July 2007, 8:00pm - 10:00pm

What do you think? Where should they go?
Come and find out how to make your views known to Wealden District Council!

frnewhouses.jpgYour District Council is drafting an important planning document called a Local Development Framework Core Strategy which will determine what development takes place in Wealden between now and 2026. Your opinion is sought on such important issues as:

  • What areas should be released for housing or commercial development?
  • What size and density of housing do we need?
  • Should the boundaries of Wealden population centres be extended?
  • Can our existing infrastructure and community facilities cope with further residential expansion?
  • Should we encourage renewable energy development such as wind power and biomass in Wealden?
  • Should we insist on higher standards of energy efficiency for new homes?
